Integrus Design Principal, David Van Galen, receives appointment to National AIA CAE Committee

David Van Galen has been AIA presidentially-appointed as a member of the National American Institute of Architects Committee on Architecture for Education (CAE) Leadership Group.  “This is an exciting time to be working with educators in the design of learning environments.  The field’s understanding of how children learn is growing rapidly, there is an increasing awareness of students’ needs for future success, and the role of technology is constantly evolving.  As Design Principal at Integrus, I have had the opportunity to be part of a growing team working at the forefront of K-12 educational facilities design.  Over the past several years I have found the AIA Committee on Architecture for Education to be an invaluable source of information, collaboration, and inspiration and am thrilled to now be a part of the leadership group moving this committee forward.”  states David Van Galen.

It is the goal of the CAE to bring all involved in and influenced by teaching and learning environments together to enhance the conversation and improve outcomes for the learner by sharing best practices from an international, national, regional and local perspective.   It is an invaluable source of information, collaboration, and inspiration as we all work toward making this world a better place to live, to work, and to learn.  Integrus Architecture has long been dedicated to improving learning environments through thoughtful and innovative design.  We have found the AIA Committee on Architecture for Education to be a vital voice in the evolution of school design.
